Aurora Borealis over Killaspugbrone, Strandhill Sligo Ireland

Description

They say St Patrick himself visited Killaspugbrone, where he tripped and broke a tooth – the tooth is now on display somewhere as a relic, I believe. I think I have a possible explanation for this mishap. He was so blown away by seeing the aurora borealis that he fell over and broke his molar! I could have toppled myself as I tread carefully among the ancestors,  but this mediaeval graveyard and monastery was a fabulous place to view the aurora on the amazing night of May 10/11 2024.
