Description

This image will stand out no matter where you hang it! Already its hanging in at least 3 continents.

My very first exhibition piece, this was on display at Cairde Visual 2019 and was the first print I ever sold, to an Australian client. As a musician who loves taking photographs it was only in 2020 and the infamous pandemic where I was given the space to explore my love of photography more and more. So yes, my photography is very new and I’m very excited to be engaged in this most satisfying art practice.

This view is from the wonderful scenic stretch of road between Strandhill and Scarden in the early summer of 2019. The summer sun had gone down, I was on my way to a gig in the Strand Bar, running late but when I saw the breathtaking light and the sky over Coney Island I could not keep driving, I had to pull in and capture what still is one of the most unique images I have gotten to date.

The title is borrowed from a musical colleague, Mickey Brennan, a man who can always get a laugh, no matter what the circumstances.
