Knocknarea is a magical monolith of a mountain in County Sligo, with panoramic views of Sligo town, Strandhill and Sligo Bay. The new “Queen Maeve Trail” is a beautiful 9km walk over and around the mountain. Described by the Irish Times as one of the best views in Ireland for the least amount of effort, it is often misty, often mystical and a hike here is good for the soul.
